Art Internship

1. Department Description/Function:

The Nickelodeon Virtual Worlds Group Art team’s primary function is creating art work that is for the Neopets and Petpet Park websites, merchandise and games.

2. Intern’s Principle Responsibilities:

As a Nickelodeon Virtual Worlds Group art intern, some of the job responsibilities include several of the following:
Creating concept art
Flash animating
Designing and coloring props and illusions for use on the site
Assisting with uploading items onto our server
Applying 2.0 wearable items on all 54 pets
Assisting Art Department all other needs

3. Anticipated Projects for Intern(s) During the Semester:

Some of the anticipated projects for the interns are Neopets items, Neopian Times Images, Neohome Petpets, Wearables, Animation, Digital File Organization, and Special Events Projects.

4. Special Skills/Requests:

Flash (required)
Microsoft Office
Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator
Maya (requested but not required)

5. Preferred Major(s):

Illustration, Animation, Digital Media, or Motion Graphics

6. Number of Positions: 2

7. Requirements:

This is a non-paid program. To be eligible students must be enrolled in a credited internship course for the semester of the internship, and must present proof of that course credit for semester of your internship. Students must be 18 years of age or older, in college (freshman or above), and be available to intern 16-30 hours per week. Internships listed above are based in Glendale California.
