Product Development/Design Intern

Alternative Apparel is seeking a Product Development/Design Intern for our Los Angeles office. This position will be heavily focused on design, and will help with color boards, line drawings, etc.

Responsibilities:

• Help with product information books: cut swatches, send out dye loads etc
• Organize samples, label and file samples
• Help organize sample storage, hang samples, order samples
• Assist in pulling color chips, working on storyboards
• General design help as needed
• Draw flats, input color into line art
• Other tasks/projects as they arise

Skills:

• General knowledge of patterning, specs and garment construction
• MS office skills including Word and Excell a must
• Photoshop and Illustrator skills required
